TIME FOR A REVIEW: six weeks travelling

It's end of February already and I want to see how things are going.

  • I'm not feeling tired at all; on the contrary, with a feeling I could keep doing this forever (which I won't!)
  • Very motivated by all the experiences, contacts, places visited and feedback received. Even the less promising constellations at the beginnnig of a tour ended with fruits and positive experiences.
  • Neither high altitude, unusual food, strange weather, bad hygiene in some hostels, nor little sleep have been a reason nor excuse to get ill. Let's hope it continous so.
  • With a few exceptions, all clothes & tools brought (13,8 kg in total) have come to use; and don't miss anything so far ( ok, writing this on a netbook would be much easier than in this tablet). Nothing got lost or was stolen, just the soil of my Lowa trekking shoes needed some glueing. I'll probably have to replace them in the next weeks, I'll try to wait until Ushuaia; that's a good place for them to rest in pease.
  • The route I choosed seem very unusual while planning (i.e. Uyuni-Atacama-Salta), just to find out its becoming very popular. The rainny season was not a problem, on the contrary, there are less travellers on the way, nature is greener and prices are lower, plus temperatures are higher as the dry season in the Andes is in winter.
  • I'm moving fast; faster than most co-travellers. This is a pitty since I've to break away when the others are staying together a couple of days longer, on the other hand everybody has a different plan after that. You have to live the day, that's it.
  • Staying in daily contact with Gina, Angel and Ceci has been very easy thanks whatsapp and free wifi. Close friends and relatives (e.g. facebook) are also kept up-to-date with a comment, location or a photo.
  • Blogging however is running slower than thought; it requires more time to load photos, enter text and edit the posts, and there is no time to review them. I learned most bloggers have an editor sitting at home. Any volunteers? ;)
Conclusion: I'll keep travelling just as done so far. I need to keep an eye on Venezuela and how things develop there, but in two months many things may happen. In the meantime my nice stop in Cordoba has come to and end; Mendoza is callling!!!

To close this post, here a link to a video recommended by Facundo. I see why he likes it, do you?
