LIMA: Paragliding and historical downtown

Current location:  click here

Our last week in Lima is going really fast. The weather has being nice and warm with some cool fog in the mornings, waming-up around noon to reach 28-29°C and stayed so until late at night. We found this perfect to combine some sighseeing with an afternoon beach-break and meeting other people for dinner.
The photos below are from downtown Lima (Plaza de Armas)

and these are from the paragliding flight over the reefs around Miraflores:

Local news this week focused on the ruling of the International Court of Justice in The Hague regarding the chilean-peruvian maritime dispute, bringing (hopefully) to an end an over 100 years old conflict!

Another well repeated new shows Lima replacing Buenos Aires as the most visited southamerican capital city in 2013. Judging by the number of tourists we see this will continue at least for the first quarter of 2014, until the FIFA world cup shift all the atention to Brazil.

Gina return flight is scheduled for tomorrow while my bus ticket to Nazca is booked for Sunday.
